FAQ
Frequently asked questions
When should I see an orthopaedic doctor?+
See an orthopaedic doctor if joint, bone or sports pain lasts more than two weeks, follows an injury, causes swelling or instability, or stops you walking, working or sleeping normally.
Do I need a referral to consult Dr. Ibad Patel?+
You can book a consultation directly. If you already have X-rays, MRI reports or discharge papers, bring them so the visit is more useful.
Where is the clinic?+
Consultations are at A.P. Diagnostic & Health Care Centre, Patel Plaza, near A.P. Patel International School, Mira Road East, Thane 401107.
What should I bring to the first visit?+
A list of medicines, previous scans or reports, and comfortable clothing so the affected joint can be examined. Wear shoes you can remove easily if the problem is in the knee, ankle or hip.
Does every knee or shoulder problem need surgery?+
No. Many problems settle with diagnosis, activity changes, physiotherapy and time. Surgery is discussed when a structural problem is unlikely to recover well without it.
